What multilingual support roles actually look for

Conversational fluency is the baseline, but multilingual support roles usually evaluate something more specific: can you switch between languages mid-conversation without losing your train of thought, and can you translate a technical or account-specific concept accurately, not just casual conversation.

If a language is a strength for you but not your first language, practice explaining common account or billing scenarios out loud in that language before an interview or assessment - the vocabulary for 'refund', 'subscription', or 'verify your identity' is often the part people stumble on, not everyday conversation.

Be honest about your actual proficiency level for every language you list. Overstating fluency tends to surface quickly on a real call and is harder to recover from than being accurately rated at a slightly lower level from the start.
