Summary
We are seeking qualified and professional American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters for remote interpretation assignments. The selected interpreter will provide accurate, clear, professional, and confidential communication between English-speaking individuals and ASL users. Opportunities are ongoing based on client demand and interpreter availability.
Responsibilities
• Provide accurate and professional interpretation between ASL and English. • Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and accuracy during every assignment. • Facilitate clear communication in real time. • Follow assigned schedules and client procedures. • Maintain a quiet and professional workspace for remote interpreting.
Minimum qualifications
• Professional ASL interpreting experience. • Strong ASL and English communication skills. • Excellent visual, listening, and communication skills. • Ability to interpret accurately in real time. • Reliable high-speed internet connection. • Quiet and professional workspace. • Computer with a reliable camera and headset. • HIPAA Certificate, if required for the assignment. • Interpreting Certificate, if required. • Signed Code of Conduct. • English proficiency at C1 or C2 CEFR, where required by the client.
Preferred qualifications
• Previous medical interpreting experience. • Previous remote interpreting experience. • Professional interpreting certification.
