Summary

w e are seeking qualified and professional Cantonese medical consecutive interpreters for remote OPI and VRI assignments. Interpreters will provide accurate, clear, professional, and confidential real-time interpretation between English-speaking and Cantonese-speaking individuals. Candidates must be from an eligible location. There is no restriction on hiring candidates from China. For candidates from other countries, eligibility must be confirmed based on the specific situation before proceeding. Native Cantonese speakers are preferred. English proficiency at C1 or C2 level according to the CEFR is required. Opportunities are ongoing and long-term based on client demand and interpreter availability.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate consecutive interpretation between English and Cantonese. • Handle OPI and VRI assignments professionally. • Maintain accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism throughout each assignment. • Interpret naturally and clearly in real time. • Follow assigned schedules and client procedures.

Minimum qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of professional interpreting experience. • Strong Cantonese and English communication skills. • Excellent listening and verbal communication skills. • Ability to interpret accurately and naturally in real time. • Reliable high-speed internet connection. • Quiet professional workspace. • Computer with a reliable headset. • Ability to follow assigned schedules.

Preferred qualifications

• Native Cantonese speaker preferred. • Previous medical interpreting experience. • OPI and VRI experience.
